The Artist
I thought I'd write a little something to explain where the art comes from....if you read my testemony then you'll know like everyone else it's a been a bit of a journey and I'm still travelling... But basically about three years ago during a time of worship I found myself getting quite frustrated..( I really can't sing....in fact I can't sing...and this particular time it annoyed me). I went home dejected and cried out to God, I explained that I wanted to be able to give Him something back..that would bless other people.....my bible fell open on Exodus 31 vs 3...See I have filled Bezalel with the Spirit of God and have given him the skill, ability and knowledge to do all kinds of work. He is able to design pieces to be made from gold, silver and bronze............It goes on to say that these skills will glorify God in the tabernacle. When I read that I held out my hands and asked God to give me a gift to honour and bless HIm but also to bless others.
The next day I started painting.....to be honest the first picture I did wasn't very good at all...a sort of pink universe with gold writing in it....but the Holy Spirit was very clear and told me to give it to one of my friends. I was actually very embarassed as I knew it wasn't a great peice of art. However when I bashfully showed her I was amazed to see tears streaming down her face.....she had seen it in a vision. This happened a few more times as I stepped out with the art work.
Over the next two years life got quite difficult. The art work took on a new meaning....I realised there were thousands of hurting people Christians too who might need a bit of Glory Light in their lives....sometimes art ministers with out words.....I hope that happens when people view these pictures.
As for the training, well to be honest, it's a total God thing.....I went to art school for about a year and drew shells!!! And made a strange thing out of mud rock....so I give God the Glory for the art work because without Him working through me I would be painting stick people and blobs.... Bless God.
